Welcome to Step-By-Step Thai. In this course, you are going to learn the following:

1. How to read, write, and pronounce all letters of the Thai alphabet.
2. How to read, write, and pronounce 300 Thai words
3. How to read, write, and pronounce 150 Thai sentences.

Your Learning Process

You will learn all of this in the context of a famous old story about a young girl’s life in the Thai countryside. Your learning process will be simple, easy, and fun! Here’s how it works.

1. In unit 1 you will learn a few letters.
2. Then you will use those letters to learn a few words.
3. After that, you will use those words to read short sentences.

Then you will go to unit 2, where you will…

1. lean a few more letters.
2. Then you will use those letters–and the letters you learned in unit 1–to learn more words.
3. After that, you will use the new words in unit 2–and the words from unit 1–to learn longer sentences.

This process will continue for 24 units! In the end, you will be able to use all letters of the Thai alphabet to read quite long paragraphs–all in Thai!

What will this course do for me?

Reading: After completing this course, you will have the ability to read anything in the Thai language–from menus in restaurants to road signs out on the highways!

Writing: You will also be able to correctly write every letter in the Thai alphabet, plus hundreds of words and sentences.

Listening: Every letter, word and sentence you learn also comes with a listening section, where you’ll get to prove your ability to identify the letters, words and sentences using your listening skills.

Pronunciation: You will also be able to correctly pronounce every letter in the Thai alphabet, plus hundreds of words and sentences.

Speaking: This is not a speaking course, but it will give you a rock solid foundation for speaking Thai. That’s because learning to speak Thai using terribly designed transliterations to pronounce Thai words is boring, frustrating, and ineffective. After this course, you’ll easily be able to improve your speaking skills using the Thai alphabet.
